Delicate Arch, Ut
This arch is Utah famous arch, it is on a lots of Utah State
stuff. This arch is all by it self, on top of a moutain. It is located in
the middle of Arches National Park, there is a parking lot for the arch, which
is about 1 1/2 miles walk to the arch. The last 3/4 miles is all up a moutain.
In fact the whole walk is up hill. This is my longest walk so far, I did not
die yet, I did made the walk, twice, one in Oct 2006 and one on June 2007.
Bring a lot of water, you will need it for the walk, especially during the
summer months.

There is a rim at the top, where the arch is located, it seems that a lot of people just sit and check out the arch and watch the sunset, if there is one. It was a overcast day, when I was there in Sept 2006 I also notice that the sun never shine on the left side of the arch, the sun is to far to the right. This is a pamoramic view of the arch area, shot with the Mamiya 645 AFD with a P45 digital back and 55 mm to 110 mm zoom lens. There is also 4 shot in this pamoramic images shot at around 5:00 pm.

This is the back side of the Arch, at the second viewing area.
It was taken early in the morning
in September 2006, using the Mamiya 645 AFD, P45 digital back and 55 mm to
110 mm zoom
lenses.

These two images was shot in June, at the longest day or when the sun was the most left of the arch. Shot around 7:00 pm. Both images was shot with the Mamiya 645 AFD with the P45 digital back, The one on the left was shot with the 35mm lens and the one shot on the right was with the 55 mm to 110 mm zoom lens at the rim. The one shot on the right was one of the last shot, before the shadow was in the picture. There is a moutain behind the rim that cast a shadow, when the sun goes down.

Here is a pic, taken in September of 2006, it show the Delicate
Arch compare to the size of the
people. It was a overcast day, shot with the Mamiya 645 AFD, P45 digital back
and 55 mm to
110 mm zoom lenses.
